Updating a published game
How changes to a live game are staged privately, reviewed, and then replace the public version.
Once your game is live on the Creations gallery, the public version stays up while you work on changes. Any edit (new code, a new title or description, a new thumbnail, or a Godot re-upload) is saved as a private update that only you (and GameFoundry moderators) can see. Players keep seeing the approved version.
To see your update, open the game's page and switch from "Live" to "Your update". From there, or from Your creations in the dashboard, you can choose a thumbnail for the new version, submit the update for review, or discard it.
Nothing is sent to moderators until you press "Submit update for review" (or call submit_game from your AI agent over MCP). A moderator then compares your update with the live version. If it's approved, it replaces the live version straight away and your likes, featured status and link are kept. If it isn't, the live version stays as it is and you'll get an email with the moderator's feedback; edit the update and submit it again.
If you edit an update while it's waiting for review, it's taken out of the queue and goes back to draft, so a moderator always reviews exactly what will go live. Submit it again when you're done.
Tip
Iterate as much as you like before submitting: drafts are private and don't join the review queue, so there's no need to submit every small change.
