Child Safety Policy

Last updated 22 May 2026.

GameFoundry is a creative tool suite used by indie game developers, including teenagers. We are committed to making it a safe place for users aged 13 and older. This page describes the safeguards we apply and our approach to compliance.

Minimum age

GameFoundry is intended for users aged 13 and older. Every user must confirm they are at least 13 when creating an account. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the service, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Browser-based creative tools can attract younger users unintentionally. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will remove the account and delete its personal information.

Safety measures

AI disclosure: every AI feature clearly tells users that output is generated by an AI system, not a human.

Content moderation: we screen prompts and submitted content, and we work to filter content that is inappropriate for a 13-and-older audience.

Child-safety instructions: the AI features that use Anthropic's models are given child-safety instructions intended to keep output age-appropriate.

Reporting and monitoring: we provide ways to report inappropriate content, we monitor for misuse, and we prioritize reports that involve the safety of a minor.

AI features

GameFoundry includes AI tools that generate art, audio, code and other assets, and an AI feature that helps organize bug reports. AI output is generated automatically, may be inaccurate, and should be reviewed before use. Users are always interacting with an AI system, not a human.

Compliance

We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We also work to comply with other applicable child-safety and data-privacy laws, including the EU GDPR. Some countries set a higher age of digital consent under the GDPR; where that applies, a parent or guardian may need to consent on a young user's behalf.

Our use of AI for an audience that includes minors is aligned with Anthropic's guidelines for organizations serving minors. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, and the rules for using GameFoundry are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.

For parents and guardians

Parents and guardians can contact us at any time to ask whether a child has an account, to review the personal information associated with a young person's account, or to request that an account and its data be deleted. We act on verified parental requests promptly.

If you have questions about how GameFoundry works, or wish to report a child-safety concern, please contact us using the safety address on our Contact page. We aim to respond promptly.
