Rejected creators finally know why: moderator feedback with email

When a moderator rejects a submitted creation, they can now attach a short feedback note. The creator gets an email with the feedback and a link back to their draft so they can revise and resubmit.

Rejection without a reason is the fastest way to lose a creator. Before this change, a rejected submission just disappeared from the queue and the creator had no signal about what to fix.

Now every reject action can carry a short note ("the game does not fit in the viewport on mobile", "the title conflicts with a real trademark", "needs a way to restart after a game over"). The note is emailed to the creator through Resend, saved on the creation row, and rendered on the creation's page so future viewers see the moderator's take too.

Approvals also fire an email, so creators do not have to poll the queue waiting to hear back.

For creators

  • Every submission status change now generates an email
  • The rejection email includes the moderator's feedback text
  • A one-click link takes you back to your draft to revise
  • Retroactive: creators whose games were rejected before this feature landed can still receive feedback if a moderator opens their creation and adds it
