Ninja Assassin: Veil of Ash is a free 3D ninja stealth action game you play in your browser. Slip into a walled Edo-period harbor compound at night as an assassin of the Lantern Order, and finish the mission unseen. Operation 01, The Shogun's Wake: the harbor magistrate is diverting relief rice under false seals. Steal the stamped manifest from his archive, recover the stolen relief funds from the storehouse, spare the coerced clerk, find three hidden Ministry dispatches, and escape by boat or the shrine path. Choose your operative: - Cael Varyn: a methodical infiltrator with a long katana, wide parry window and heavy strikes. - Mira Solenne: an acrobatic infiltrator with twin hooked knives, faster climbing and quieter steps. Stealth gameplay: - Stealth kills from behind, from the side, from above, from below a ledge, from the water and from tall grass, or knock guards out and drag the bodies away. - Climb wooden grips up towers and walls, hang from beams, slide down ziplines, and drop through rooftop hatches. - Hug walls for cover, peek around corners, crawl through grass, and hide underwater. - Open sliding shoji doors and climb through windows. - Poison darts, sleep darts, smoke, stones and a grappling hook. - Guards hear noise, investigate, wake sleeping comrades and run to ring the alarm bell when they find a body. Pick your difficulty (Recruit, Operative or Ghost) and chase the Wraith rank for a perfect, unseen run. Includes full 3D characters, dynamic night lighting, taiko combat music, and support for keyboard and mouse, Xbox controller and touch screens.
